Patti Francis is in the process of completing her Secondary Montessori training through Cincinnati Montessori Secondary Teacher Education Program. She taught Middle School ESL for three and a half years in a Nash-Rocky Mount middle school. Then she moved to Charlotte to be nearer to her family. For the 2015-16 school year, she taught one semester of English Language Development to 9th graders, and the second semester she taught 9th Grade English to English Language Learners. She is thrilled to be back in middle school and back to her original passion of language arts.

 

Patti is the mom of three sons and one daughter, who have completed their college educations (the boys earned a BA in Theater Arts and the girl a BA in Physical Education), and who have produced for her seven amazing grandchildren, three daughters-in-law and one son-in-law. There is nothing Patti has enjoyed more than being a mom (mom-in-law) and now grandma to these individual, compassionate and awesome human beings. Teaching has come the closest to the wonder of parenting – watching and guiding the developing human being into all he or she could possibly become.  

 

Outside of school, Patti enjoys running, bike riding, swimming, hiking, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, writing and reading.
